Addressing climate change and promoting sustainable energy solutions are crucial for a sustainable future. Energy production and consumption significantly contribute to climate change through greenhouse gas emissions. Our Young Climateers program empowers young people to research and advocate for renewable energy technologies and climate-smart practices. Youth lead awareness campaigns and policy advocacy to promote clean energy transitions.
Biodiversity conservation and agroforestry practices are interconnected, as diverse ecosystems support agricultural productivity, water resources, and climate regulation. Conserving biodiversity and promoting agroforestry are essential for sustainable land management and climate resilience. At IDE Ghana, we involve young people in biodiversity conservation and agroforestry projects, providing them with the tools and knowledge to lead impactful initiatives.

IDE Ghana’s efforts in youth advocacy on human rights and the environment are directed at engaging and empowering young people to advocate for policies that address both environmental degradation and human rights violations.
