Agnes Gyasi | MSc., BBA

Agnes Gyasi is a passionate advocate for youth and environmental development who integrates gender mainstreaming into all her initiatives and has a multifaceted approach to sustainable development. She ensures that the empowerment of young people and gender equality are central to her work and service to humanity, fostering inclusive community development.

Agnes holds a Master of Science in Corporate Governance and Strategic Leadership from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies and a Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply. Currently, as a Programme Officer at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, she leverages her academic knowledge and professional training to address governance, policy, and social protection issues, particularly for marginalized communities, including women, children, and youth.

In her role, Agnes is deeply involved in policy development and youth engagement, focusing on environmentally significant issues that have sociocultural and economic impacts in Ghana. Her expertise and insights make her a valuable contributor to discussions surrounding these topics. She is also a regular speaker at the IDE Ghana Youth Empowerment and Livelihood Improvement (YELI) Project, where she inspires and mentors young individuals.

As a board member at IDE, Agnes will draw on her extensive experience in environmental, youth, and social development. Her ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and her commitment to empowering marginalized groups will be invaluable in guiding the organization’s strategic direction and initiatives.

Her commitment to community service is evident in her active engagement with communities and local youth groups to promote leadership and sustainable practices.
